What MambaBuy actually charges, in what currency

Six layers make up most MambaBuy orders. None of the figures below are this site's estimate; each is quoted directly from a MambaBuy help article, with the article number and the date it was read.

Six stacked layers of a MambaBuy order: goods price, domestic shipping, agent fee, international line, card or PayPal fee, duties where owed
Built from the fee figures in MambaBuy help articles 6569, 6479 and 7031, as published on 21 October 2026.

Agent service fee

Place the order through the website yourself and MambaBuy's purchasing fee is zero; its help centre labels this "free shopping agent service", leaving you to cover only the item, its shipping and whatever extras get ticked. Send the same request in over WeChat, WhatsApp or email and a staff member types it in for you instead, at a cost: 3% of the goods value under CN¥5,000, 1.5% above that threshold, a scale that replaced a flat CN¥35-per-ten-links fee on 15 October 2026.

What a yuan was worth on 21 October

MambaBuy's platform showed 1 CNY as worth: $0.1618, €0.1440, £0.1213. A bank transfer is converted into your balance at whatever rate MambaBuy applies the moment the funds land, which is not necessarily the rate shown when the transfer was started.

Three live answers on how to pay

MambaBuy's own help pages do not agree with each other. This site prints all three rather than pick one.

In practice, the top-up page (article 6479) is the most detailed and gives concrete fees: bank transfer carries no MambaBuy-side fee and takes one to three business days; credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) carries 5% plus a flat $0.30; PayPal carries 3.7% plus $0.30. Try a small self-service top-up first and keep the screenshot of what it actually charged you before committing a large order to any one method.

New-user coupons and membership

A verified new account receives a coupon pack worth CN¥2,990 in total, twenty international-shipping coupons valid for 180 days, usable once each. Beyond that, MambaBuy runs a seven-tier VIP system (VIP0 to VIP6) based on accumulated growth value, earned at a rate of roughly one growth point per CN¥2 of international shipping spend, with shipping discounts rising from around 1% at the lower tiers up to 8% once an account reaches VIP6, which the help centre sets at 60,000 accumulated growth points. Reaching the top tier takes sustained, repeat shipping volume rather than a single large order, so the discount matters more to frequent buyers consolidating many small parcels over time than to someone placing one order and stopping.

A worked fee example

Take an order of CN¥1,800 in goods, placed through staff over WhatsApp rather than on the website, paid by card. The manual-order fee applies at 3%, since the goods value sits below the CN¥5,000 threshold, adding CN¥54. The card fee adds a further 5% plus $0.30, roughly CN¥92 at the exchange rate quoted on 21 October 2026. Placing the identical order yourself on the website and paying from account balance instead would remove both of those charges entirely, leaving only the goods price, domestic shipping to the warehouse, and the international line, a difference worth several hundred RMB on an order this size.

A number this site refuses to average

It will not quote a single "typical" total cost for an order, because the goods price, the line you choose and whether a payment carries a card or PayPal fee change the total by a wide margin case by case. Use the calculator with your own numbers instead of trusting an average.
